My name is Lia Littlewood and I come from a long line of artists, although they were sculptors and photographers I have been blessed with painting! I consider myself a Renaissances girl because i enjoy lots of mediums like acrylic painting, printmaking, carving, ceramics and just plain crafting in general. I have been painting since i joined Bill Blomquist's class at Arizona Western College in 2007. Ever since i have been passionate about getting my paintings out there and doing what it takes.

M.C. Escher ... THE MAN!!!

i saw the original skull w/ a cigarette by m.c. escher and liked it so i decided to pay a little tribune to it... i of course added color and a mohawk!
i have had a lot of people analyze it and i love feed back. its cool to see what people think of my stuff!
so dont tell an artist their painting is pretty, cuz we hear that more than their opinion on it!
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory!
These guys were back drops for a play on Willy Wonka. the cool thing is the pipe part of the back drop is see thru so when the kid went down it, you could see them travelin! so awesome
Color is my weakness......good thing its on sale!
This painting has some hidden features for example the air balloon has the govt mule logo and we have the eat a peace for peace truck, sunflowers, the big house (where the Allman Bro museum is now located) and a hippies use front door.
I hove emphasising color into every painting so this was probably my favorite this month!!!

One day I'll be Famous
My grandfather started to get sick again towards the end of 2007 and i felt myself slipping. My sister Stefanie and i lived with him to help my grandmother out there was hardly time for school, much less art. I painted probably once a week when usually i painted once a day and never really attached emotion with my works, i felt this time i needed to. I painted a crying self portrait in black and white and with more emotion and less color. Attaching a red faded ribbon unraveling around my face i thought it was complete and perfect to my standards. When asked about the painting, i wanted to cry every time. The painting was titled "Dear Grandpa" and the ribbon signified how I've come a little undone since my grandpa's death. He was in bed for almost a whole year. it made me sick to know the one who taught me everything, how to draw, photograph, and think like an artist is stuck in a bed. It makes me upset to see a man who use to take us out to the desert just to look around stuck to a bed all day. i loved him more than anyone, and im glad to know he's in heaven out of pain.
